Did you know that maple syrup wasn’t all the same? Yup, there is multiple grade of maple syrup ranging from super clear maple syrup to darkish caramel one. There are two major classifications to grade maple syrup, the American one and the Canadian one and both are based on translucence to determine the grade. The lower the grade, the lower the quality of maple syrup you will have. Usually a light maple syrup will generally have a milder flavor while a darker maple syrup taste will be more pronounced taste with more caramelized perfume.
